Who can obtain a Mongolia visa on arrival?

To travel to Mongolia, it is compulsory to have your visa before departure. How do I get an e-visa for Mongolia?

The electronic visa for Mongolia is issued for tourist, cultural or sporting adventures. It expires 150 days after arrival. This visa entitles you to a 10-day stay if you are in transit. For artistic and tourist visits, it allows you to stay in Mongolia for 30 days.

If you would like to extend your stay, you can contact the immigration services on the internet, once you are in the country. Extensions to your stay in Mongolia are limited to a maximum of 30 days.

Documents and information required for a Mongolian e-visa

To prepare your Mongolian visa, you will be asked to provide certain documents and information. This includes information about your identity, including scans of some documents required for your security.

Necessary information

The information you need to provide when applying for your Mongolian e-visa includes :

  • the date of arrival ;
  • the departure date ;
  • professional status ;
  • business address ;
  • professional telephone contact ;
  • full name of an emergency contact ;
  • the telephone number of an emergency contact.

It also includes your marital status and your employer's address and telephone number.

Documents to be supplied

To apply for your Mongolia e-visa, you must send a digital version of your invitation letter or scanned certificate and the reason for your accommodation (authorisation from a tour operator, hotel reservation, etc.).

You must send a scan of the page of your passport valid for at least 6 months from your date of arrival. It must be of good quality and in colour. Please ensure that the scan contains at least two blank pages.

In addition, a scan of a passport photo is required in high resolution, of better quality and in colour on a light background. It must be in JPEG format, 4.5 cm × 3.5 cm.

Where can I apply for a Mongolian e-Visa?
